Fewer hospitals accept students to undergo work experience, and Covid-19 regulations make finding work experience extremely challenging. This one-day virtual work experience event has been designed around the latest university requirements for work experience to give students access to real doctors inside real hospitals, from the comfort of their own home.

What makes this virtual work experience event so unique?

This one-day virtual event will be covering all the aspects required for a work experience placement and was specifically designed to be incorporated in your medical application. You will experience different techniques and medical concepts to get you familiar with what medicine is truly like.

However, some things remain constant throughout your experience: the highest quality of teaching, guidance and mentorship from London and Oxford doctors who’ve been through the medical application process themselves and are ready to share what it takes to be successful. 

Theory and practice sessions throughout the day will assess your progress and understanding of the key requirements for a medical career: communication, medical ethics and teamwork.

A mentoring session at the end of the event will leave none of  your burning questions unanswered by the doctors, and ensure you are achieving the learning goals required for a work experience placement.

Who is this event for?

This event is open to any SCHOOL STUDENTS from Year 9 to Year 13 (or the equivalent Grade 8 to Grade 12). This event is suitable for:

  • students who haven't decided whether medicine is the right career for them and would like to get a better understanding

  • students who are currently preparing their medical school application

  • students who would like to enhance their CV and application with medical work experience which covers the latest university application requirements
